Our Governors

Bushfield is committed to self-development and our governors play a key role in assisting the school to reflect and continually improve. It can be a rewarding role but one that requires a similar level of commitment and dedication from the people that volunteer their time. As a school we recognise that a diversity of thought, voices and perspectives is essential to good governance and the effective running of any organisation.

Could you join our governing board?

If you have skills in Finance; Strategic leadership; HR/People; Compliance; Sustainability; Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing; Data analysis; Digital & IT; Accountability governance or Early Years you would be a great fit for our team but we also welcome anyone who has a passion for making a difference and giving back to the community!

If you are interested in getting more involved with school life and becoming a school governor please email: chair@theviaductfederation.org or speak to the Headteacher.

Governor Meetings

Governor meetings are held each term across the academic year. We have two sub committees that meet outside of the full governing board; a Resources committee that focusses on the school’s budget and premises and a Curriculum committee that looks at the school’s provision and enrichment as well as the impact on children’s attainment and progress.
