Our Governors
At Bushfield School, the governing body plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the school. Their core responsibilities include defining the school’s vision and strategic direction, overseeing the performance of the headteacher in relation to the school’s educational outcomes, and ensuring the proper and effective use of the school’s financial resources. Governors act with integrity and transparency, making decisions in the best interests of the school community. They also hold strategic oversight of safeguarding arrangements. Our governors are dedicated to continual self-development, contributing their time and expertise to help the school reflect and improve. We value diversity of thought, as it is essential to strong governance and the ongoing success of the school.

Governor Meetings
Governor meetings are held each term across the academic year. We have two sub committees that meet outside of the full governing board; a Resources committee that focusses on the school’s budget and premises and a Curriculum committee that looks at the school’s provision and enrichment as well as the impact on children’s attainment and progress.
